RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION PROCEDURE
1. Purpose
To ensure continuing participation of the Manly Seasider Baseball Club.
2. Scope
To develop strategies to allow retention and recruitment of players for the club.
3. Responsibilities
The Committee and the Club as a whole.
4. Procedure
4.1. Recruitment
4.1.1. Place Club banners at prominent locations e.g. on school fences and the Golf Clubs fence. A committee person can do this item.
4.1.2. Arrange for the inclusion of our club information into the JCC advertising this should be done by either the Secretary or JCC Delegate.
4.1.3. Place advertising in all school newsletters within our catchment. Allocate a number of schools to each committee member.
4.1.4. Request returning players to ask friends if they wish to play.
4.1.5. In liaison with the JCC approach the schools within our catchment and participate in a schools program. This program should introduce students to the game of baseball as well as giving the students some basic skills.
4.2. Retention
4.2.1. Send out welcoming letter to all existing players. This letter can be in the form of email. The letter should also request players to ask their friends if they wish to play Baseball.
